We are now proud to display our Gen IV and ROCK control Symphony Setters at our Bridgwater UK factory.
This was a good opportunity for our new UK Service Engineer Ian Greenfield to familiarize himself with the construction and operation of our latest single stage machines.
This year’s Avida Academy brought together a great group of Chick Master customers from 11 different countries worldwide.
Hosted at the Hyatt Regency in downtown Cleveland, our friends were able to take in and explore all the amazing attractions of Cleveland after participating in hands-on workshops and training opportunities that were specifically designed to assist them in operating their Chick Master Avida systems to their optimal performance.

This will be the third time 3F Viet has expanded their facility since 2015. With 4 more Classic machines and 4 Avida Hatchers we are pleased to be part of this ever growing company’s success.
Residing in Vietnam, their mission is to offer the whole country the healthiest products. They have spent the last couple of years investing in technology, implementing new techniques and actively researching ways to achieve the ideal environment and processes to provide true quality with their “FRESH CHICKEN”. Their dedication and commitment to the health of their customers is extremely evident in everything they do.
To keep up with the increased demand for our ventilation systems we have made vast improvements to the efficiency and layout of our UK production. With nearly 100 systems installed worldwide, the CC3 and Aria are proven solutions for hatchery ventilation while significantly reducing energy costs.

Vietnam is a growing market as the economy expands with more consumers demanding protein. Dabaco recognized that opportunity several years ago when they invested into broiler production. They started with a broiler hatchery using Chick Master Avida incubation systems and have now expanded into the production of parent stock.
This new hatchery is about to start up using the Hatchery in Harmony concept. They have installed Avida Symphony incubators with our latest ROCK controls and included a CC3-5400 to better manage the hatchery environment.
The hatchery which is in its final stages of construction is going to be an excellent facility with all the right ingredients to produce high quality breeding stock. Congratulations to Dabaco on this new hatchery and for their selection of Chick Master systems.

For many years, Chick Master has been the recognized leader for poultry incubation systems in Pakistan. Our Classic incubator has been the standard for most hatcheries for over 35 years, but as with many countries today the desire to use single stage incubators in commercial hatcheries is continually growing. There are now several hatcheries in Pakistan using Avida incubators, but Islamabad Farms are the first to have the Avida Symphony with ROCK control.
To help support the new installation, Chick Master’s Hatchery Specialist, Richard Dix travelled to Pakistan to assist with the start-up and training. Switching from multi-stage to single stage requires some learning and changes in paradigms, but using the ROCK controls Islamabad Farms will benefit from the many features this new system has to offer. The intuitive control maintains running temperatures based on feedback from the temperature of the egg mass. Using PID controls and modulating solenoids, ROCK adjusts the setter and hatcher conditions automatically and more precisely than other controllers that simply switch on and off based on information from sensors. The automatic feedback and modulating features produces lower energy costs and a more stable incubation environment that results in healthier and more chicks ready to grow faster on the farms. We thank Islamabad Farms for their continued confidence in Chick Master Avida incubators and for leading the way for other hatcheries to pursue a Hatchery in Harmony.

We are excited about the positive energy we generated and the many customer meetings that took place during the IPPE exhibition at the World Congress Center Atlanta, January 30th– February 1st. We had many great discussions with our valued customers and old friends as well as many new interested visitors from all around the world. Our booth displayed Chick Master’s broad and innovative product line that offers energy-efficient benefits with each purposeful design that has the objective of simplicity and return on investment. Hatchery in Harmony orchestrates the opportunity and promise we deliver with the integration of optimized incubation and ventilation solutions we can offer. Our team of Chick Master Sales Managers and Global Sales Representatives shared the many advantages of investing in Chick Master equipment and upgrades.
During the event, we were honored to be visited by the Secretary of Agriculture, Sonny Perdue. He met with our president, Robert Holzer, to see the latest Avida Symphony model incubator (pictured above).
We want to take this opportunity to thank all those who stopped by our booth. If you missed us, we hope to see you in June at the VIV Europe in Utrecht, Holland or at next year’s IPPE in February!

He is responsible for coordinating our installation of incubation and ventilation equipment in the Americas. Bill brings to Chick Master many years of experience in managing maintenance operations and project management. He has HVAC certification that is very valuable in the support of our growing installed base of CC3’s and Aria systems.
Bill has a strong dedicated team based in Medina, USA and Latin America that assist customers with the installation of Chick Master equipment. “I am excited to join this company and a new industry”, stated Bill. “I have learned that Chick Master values its customer relationships and values the importance of service in strengthening the trust of our customers. I look forward to building on that process.” Bill will also work closely with our UK Service Team as part of our global effort and commitment to customer service and support.
We have recently commissioned two more CC3’s in Europe and South America. Blenta in Sweden has just added a third CC3 to their hatchery to provide proper ventilation and energy management to their recent expansion. Although they use incubators from a competitor, they see the value of the CC3 with any incubation system as it maintains room temperatures and reduces operating costs. It is a great testament to the success of the CC3 that they now have three at their hatchery.
La Calera in Peru has also just completed the installation of a CC3 for their hatchery. Although quite a different environment to Sweden, the CC3 adapts to any climate condition to offer heat recovery in colder conditions and dehumidification in more tropical areas. La Calera is the first to invest in a CC3 in Peru, but we have a growing market throughout Latin America as more hatcheries recognize the importance of ventilation and reducing energy costs.
From Mexico to Chile, we have successfully commissioned CC3’s with more on their way in the coming months. Many hatcheries using multi-stage Classic systems are upgrading their hatchery ventilation, while new hatcheries with Avida single stage incubators are also using the CC3 and Aria systems combined. In all cases, they are achieving a Hatchery in Harmony.
