CAN PAY FOR ITSELF IN ONLY ONE YEAR!
See below: |
Single coil incubator cooling systems effectively cool the front and
rear sections, but often when the rear requires cooling the front does
not really need it. This results in a battle that can never be won,
costing you money and creating a less than stable setter environment
that reduces hatchability and chick quality. |

"We have installed a 2 Zone Cooling
kit on a Chick Master Multi-Stage Fixed Rack setter with Ultra
Control and have seen energy consumption savings of 43Kw/Hr per day
resulting in savings of $1,726.45 per
year per machine.
Based on these savings, we intend to install
this KIT on our remaining 25 setters, as soon as possible."

The Benefits*
include:
IMPROVED HATCHABILITY AND CHICK QUALITY
After the setter recovers from the cooling effect of a new set,
the heating hardly ever comes on again once you have installed the 2
Zone Cooling Kit. With less fluctuations in heating and cooling the
developing embryos experience less stress producing lower mortality
and stronger chicks.
ENERGY SAVING
The 2 Zone Cooling Upgrade Kit will give you significant savings on
your energy bills. The continual struggle to balance the incubator
becomes a thing of the past. A stable temperature environment means
that you only pay for the energy you need to incubate your chicks.
LESS COOLED WATER REQUIRED
Shorter cooling coils that only supply cooled water when it is
required
means lower water consumption. Shorter coils also mean that the water
is only exposed to heat half the time compared to single coils.
EASY INSTALLATION WITH NO DOWN TIME
The 2 Zone Cooling Upgrade Kit can be installed by your maintenance
personnel and requires the setter to be turned off for only a few
minutes without emptying.
*Note: Both the 2 Zone Cooling and the Exhaust Upgrade kits are required
to achieve maximum improved performance

“Study of the Benefits of 2-Zone
Cooling”
This
study is based on an upgrade offered by Chick Master which was put
into action on an Ultra No. 2 Setter. The cooling coils were
replaced and the logistic program was changed, pending only the
change of the air exhaust ducts. For design reasons, this change
could not be executed being that it would have had to be done on all
three Setters in that row. (The new system has exhaust through the
middle of the setter and the old setter has rear exhaust.)
The
energy consumption of the Ultra No. 1 Setter was measured without
modification.
The
average daily energy consumption for the Ultra No. 1 Setter was 56.8
KW and for the Ultra No. 2 Setter it was 52 KW with similarities in
egg settings. (NOTE: This average was taken from 18 days of
testing).

There were also measurements taken of the Genesis No. 10 Setter
that has this system as factory installed with an average of 44.2
KW daily.

Although the saving in energy costs was not significant according
to this data, the chick production average increased by 1% in
setter No. 2. This percentage was obtained comparing hatching
data from April 2004 with a 1.20% in favor of setter No. 2, July
2005 with a 0.89% in favor of the same setter No. 2, and lastly,
January 2006 with a 1.03% in favor of the same setter No. 2.
Analysis of this data shows an increase of 15,200 more chicks
per year from this setter alone.
Sincerely,
Victor
