Hatchery Technical Service Specialist

ChickMaster is a leader in the design and manufacture of commercial poultry incubation systems and the supporting ventilation and climate control equipment. ChickMaster equipment is supplied to a global market from our Ohio, USA and Bridgwater, UK manufacturing plants. As part of our continued development we have a current vacancy for the above position reporting to our UK office.

This is a senior position with customer interaction requiring experience in hatchery management and process. The position is reporting to the UK Managing Director and will involve significant travel throughout global regions, excepting the Americas, as required to support our customers. Your role will be to assist and support our customers to achieve the best results from our incubation equipment and their hatcheries in general with the equipment supplied by ChickMaster. The assistance you will offer in their hatchery methods, aligned with operating best practice within our equipment, will yield optimal results of chick quality.

You will need to have solid hatchery management experience in running a volume facility, being responsible for all aspects including chick quality. A strong understanding of the cause and effect factors within a hatchery that are linked to chick embryology and necropsy is required along with knowledge of variables based on different breeds and environmental conditions. A practical understanding and experience of the incubator operation would also be an advantage.

The position requires significant travel throughout the year, but trips will tend to be one to two weeks maximum. Your base office would be in the UK at our Bridgwater office, but we would consider candidates living outside the English Southwest area. You will be part of a team of several individuals that are currently in our customer support group located around the world.

Individuals should have good English communicating and writing skills. Additional language knowledge is a bonus.
